  • Building Confidence with IT: Learn the basics, like using Microsoft Word to compose a document, and navigating general IT tasks.
  • Job Search Assistance: Crafting CVs, filling out job application forms and help with using/navigating Universal Credit journal.
  • Sending Emails and Staying in Touch: Practice composing and sending emails.
  • Device Setup: Whether it’s a phone, tablet, or computer, they can help with general setup and getting comfortable with your device.

Interested in Volunteering?

If you have a spare hour a week, are happy to chat with members of the public and are a good problem solver, we’d love for you to join our Award-Winning Digital Champions team!

Volunteers are based in local community venues around Clackmannanshire. We try to place you at a venue that suits you best. Whilst a general level of confidence with tech is useful, this role needs volunteers with great communication skills, rather than experts in IT.

Typical tasks may include:

  • Assisting with online job searches.
  • Helping people with their mobile phones or tablets.
  • Helping people build their confidence by walking through general IT tasks.
  • Assist with CV/cover letters/job application forms.
