My name is Brian Weaver and I’m the Training and Capacity Building Development Officer

After leaving university I worked in the Environmental and Conservation field before working in the Mental Health then Library Services in Local Government. All of these roles involved a combination of delivering training, qualifications and IT skills.

In my current role at CTSI I deliver IT skills classes and also recruit & train volunteers who become our Digital Champions. They assist members of the public with IT skills at drop ins across Clackmannanshire. I also help to administrate the Community Health and Wellbeing Fund and manage our online training platform for members, the TSI Scotland Learning Portal.

What I really enjoy about my role at CTSI is seeing people gaining or improving their IT skills, whether it be for use in their personal life or for progressing into employment or volunteering.

In my spare time I like going to watch Scotland play rugby, cycling, walking the dogs and have an unhealthy obsession with Lord of the Rings. I am also interested in anything to do with the First and Second World Wars and do voluntary work with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, monitoring and cleaning local graves.
