Nominations open 1st March for Clacks Volunteer Awards Ceremony in June!

Volunteers’ Week is the Wee County’s chance to come together and celebrate our local volunteers and the wider third sector.  If you know someone who is volunteering in a defined role or takes it upon themselves to sweep the paths in your local park without being asked, then the time is now to recognise their efforts for the Wee County!  Following the incredible success of Volunteers’ Week 2023, Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) is planning a major Award Ceremony at Tillicoultry’s Devonvale Hall which will see local heroes receive awards for their selfless efforts.

Last Year, CTSI took over the administration of the Lord Lieutenancy’s Citizen of the Year Award and the Provost’s Young Citizen of the Year Award and this continues this year.  The award categories for 2024 are:

  • Clackmannanshire Community Champion of the Year (individual, anyone 18+)
  • Clackmannanshire Young Person of the Year (individual, up to 18 years of age)
  • Community Group of the Year (volunteer involving groups who have made a difference in Clackmannanshire)
  • Community Project with the Greatest Impact Award (group: the majority of the impact/operation of the service is based in Clackmannanshire)
  • Trustee of the Year (individual)
  • Community Spirit Award (individual: targeting those who volunteer informally)
  • Improving Health and Wellbeing Award (New award open to individuals: for volunteers who are improving lives in the Wee County)

The Volunteer’s Week 2024 Awards Ceremony (which is invite only) will take place on Thursday 6th June at Tillicoultry’s Devonvale Hall from 6.30pm – 8:30pm.

To say thank you to as many groups, projects, and individuals as possible, CTSI hopes the community and the local third sector will support us in our efforts to highlight as many people as possible.  Nominations open from Friday 1st March and will close at 5pm on Sunday 14th April. As a thank you to those nominators, they can enter a prize draw for a £50 Amazon Gift Voucher.
