Around 3300 community projects were funded during the first two years of the Adult Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund. An estimated 300,000 people benefited from the Fund in its first year alone.
The Scottish Government’s Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund aims to tackle the impact of social isolation, loneliness and mental health inequalities made worse by the pandemic. In February 2022, an additional £6 million was provided for 2021/2022 to meet the demand for local mental health and wellbeing projects, bringing total funding in 2021/22 to £21 million.
